"Is that what this is about?" she wonders aloud, struck by the epiphany that she's been looking at this from the wrong perspective. She begins to think that she understands, but she can't be sure. She studies Cook with a look of trepidation and swallows back some of her pride as she tries to summon something to say that will make a difference.
